The upper right area of the Peripherals View lists the ADC and PWM channel peripherals. Their tiles list one row per channel, with the following elements:
- The node connected to the channel, with the Disconnect icon (
×). If no node is connected, the row shows the Connect icon (+) instead. - The channel number, such as
CH0. When a node is connected, hovering over the channel number shows the gear icon, which opens the channel properties. - The channel pin, labeled
AIN<n>for ADC orOUT<n>for PWM, and the GPIO pin it is assigned to. You can't reassign the ADC pins, because the SoC fixes them.
The tiles also show how channel pins relate to their GPIO ports. For example, the ADC and PWM peripherals handle pins on disabled GPIO ports differently:
- ADC shows its
AINchannels even when the GPIO port of the pin is disabled. You can use the analog input pins without enabling the GPIO port. - PWM lists every disabled GPIO port that its output pins use, each with an Enable button. A PWM output pin on a disabled GPIO port causes a warning in the Problems panel, and the build fails. Clicking Enable enables the port.
The following image shows the pwm130 tile with the pwm_led2 node connected to CH0.
The OUT0 output of CH0 is assigned to the P9.02 pin.
The gpio9 port is disabled, so the tile lists it with the Enable button.
For how to fix pin assignments on disabled GPIO ports, see How to assign nodes to pins.
