AI agent tools included

The extension adds the following AI agent tools to the Visual Studio Code tools list:

• Nordic MCP - a bridge between your AI assistant and Nordic Semiconductor's development knowledge base.

  When using Visual Studio Code, a Nordic MCP entry is added to the MCP Servers section in the Extensions View. Using it requires authentication before first use.

• Local nrfConnect MCP server - provides workspace-aware tools for building, flashing, and managing devices.

  You can configure the local MCP server in the extension settings.

Both these tools can be selected for individual requests from the Configure Tools quick pick menu in the Chat View. See AI agent tools local configuration for more information.

Both MCP tools are an optional addition to the standard development workflow, as per Nordic Semiconductor's approach to AI-assisted development.
