You can install additional toolchain versions after the first-time setup.
To install a toolchain version, complete the following steps:

In the Welcome View, click
Manage toolchains.
The list of actions appears.

Click Install toolchain.
The list of available stable toolchain versions appears. -
Select the toolchain version to install.
Tip
You can also click the buttons in the quick pick header to change toolchain index, change installation path, or list all available toolchain versions.
The toolchain installation starts in the background, as can be seen in the notification that appears and in Output in the Panel Views. A notification also appears when the installation is complete.
The toolchain installation can take several minutes.
When the toolchain installation is complete, you can edit the existing build configurations to select the new toolchain version. In most cases, you will also need to install the matching SDK version.
