Capturing modem trace data from command line

nRF Util

nRF Util

You can use the nrfutil trace lte command to collect Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART) traces from any device that supports modem trace, for example a System-in-Package (SiP) from the nRF91 Series. The trace can be used to analyze the communication between the device and the Long-Term Evolution (LTE) network.

With this method, you start capturing LTE modem trace using nRF Util commands in command line. If you prefer to capture LTE modem trace in Wireshark using a dedicated plugin, read the nRF Util modem trace in Wireshark page.

Note

This guide is only available for the nRF91 Series devices.
