The toolbar includes the following items:

| Serial port drop-down menu | Selects the serial port interface (for example, COM8) to use for capturing modem trace data. |
| Help | Opens the documentation for the nRF Util modem trace plugin (this page). |
| Defaults | Resets all toolbar and interface options to their default values, and clears the log. |
| Log | Opens or displays the log output from the modem trace capture process. |
