With the the nrfutil device recover command, you can reset the device to a known, working state, often by erasing and reprogramming its memory.
This is useful when the device is not functioning correctly or the device is using a form of readback protection.

nrfutil device recover is available for all device families, but the command works differently depending on the device family.
