The command looks for Wireshark in the following default locations:
- Windows:
C:\Program Files\Wireshark\Wireshark.exe - Linux:
/usr/bin/wireshark - macOS:
/Applications/Wireshark.app/Contents/MacOS/Wireshark
If Wireshark is installed in a different location, or if you want to use a different extcap directory, specify the directory with the --extcap-dir option:
nrfutil ble-sniffer bootstrap --extcap-dir <path_to_extcap_directory>
To check the extcap directory used by your Wireshark installation, go to Help > About Wireshark > Folders in Wireshark and look for Personal Extcap path.
