The nRF Kconfig GUI is the default and recommended interface setting for editing Kconfig options in nRF Connect for VS Code.
The extension also integrates the standard menuconfig interactive Kconfig interface supported by Zephyr and the nRF Connect SDK. You can start menuconfig by clicking the Menuconfig action in the More actions... menu next to nRF Kconfig GUI in the Actions View.
