A freestanding application is created when you use the Create a blank application action or the Copy a sample action, both available from Create a new application in the Welcome View. You can also create one using the Browse samples action.
The SDK version used by freestanding applications is stored in Zephyr's CMake registry and is listed in the Uninstall SDK menu. However, uninstalling the SDK version from the menu can lead to breaking the freestanding application's build configuration.
