The Select device drop-down is located in the upper-left area of the application window. It lists the devices connected to the computer and lets you select a device to work with.
Once you connect a supported device to the system, it becomes visible and available when you click on the Select device drop-down list. You can choose a device from the list of connected devices to perform further actions on the device.
After selecting a device, the available options and information in the app change to reflect the capabilities and settings relevant to the selected device. Some apps automatically program or configure the device upon selection.
