Each Load Switch/LDO card lets you choose LDO or Load Switch mode, set the output voltage (VOUTLDO), and configure options such as Active Discharge and On/Off Control. See the tooltips on each control for details.
The LDO Soft Start mode limits how quickly the LDO output current ramps up when the regulator is enabled, which reduces stress on the supply and load. When supported by the PMIC, the Soft Start Current drop-down (for example 25, 50, 75, or 100 mA) is available on the card.
Note
LDO Soft Start is only available on PMICs that support it. The app reads the PMIC revision when the device is connected. For nPM1304, support starts at hardware rev. 1.1. On older nPM1304 revisions, the Soft Start Current control is disabled in LDO mode.
