Nordic MCP provides an MCP App for viewing live measurements from a locally connected Power Profiler Kit II (PPK2). The panel plots a rolling 10-second window of current consumption and the eight digital channels (D0–D7). It refreshes approximately twice per second.
The integration has two parts:
- The workspace-local
ppk2skill supplies the local PPK2 server that controls the USB-connected device. - The
nordicsemi_appstool opens the interactive panel in an MCP client that supports MCP Apps. The panel reads measurements directly from the local PPK2 server.
Ask the AI assistant to measure with PPK2 and open the interactive panel.
If needed, the assistant proposes installing the ppk2 skill.
The assistant asks whether to use source mode (SMU) or ampere-meter mode.
After you confirm the mode, the assistant starts local sampling and opens the panel.
