Requirements

Decrypting the DTLS traffic has the following requirements:

• A device running mfw_nrf91x1 v2.0.0 or later. Check the modem firmware version with at at+cgmr.
• Modem traces enabled, as described in UART tracing or RTT tracing.
• The device onboarded and provisioned to nRF Cloud, as described in Connecting.

• The nRF Cloud CoAP root CA certificate present in the developer security tag:

  • Thingy:91 X: The certificate is written to the developer security tag during production, so no action is needed.
  • nRF9151 DK: You must provision the certificate yourself first, as described in Provisioning the CoAP CA certificate on the nRF9151 DK.
