Step 2: Claim the device in nRF Cloud

Select Security Services in the left sidebar.

A panel opens to the right.

Select Claimed Devices.

Click Claim Device.

A pop-up opens.

Copy and paste the attestation token into the Claim token text box.

Set Provisioning rule to nRF Cloud Onboarding and click Claim Device.

Important: The nRF Cloud Onboarding rule is a named set of provisioning commands stored in your nRF Cloud account. It tells the provisioning service which credentials and configuration to deliver to the device after it is claimed. Selecting the correct rule is required — without it, the device will be claimed but will not receive the credentials required to connect to nRF Cloud.

Create a new rule using the following configuration:
