Measure the current with an ampere meter by placing the ampere meter in series with the source or load and the probe point. Set up the Evaluation Kit (EK) according to the supply or output that you want to measure.
Set up EK to measure VBAT and VEXT
- Remove the jumper on P6.
- Ensure there is no IBAT current-measurement resistor mounted on the footprint for R1.
- Slide SW5 to VBAT for battery measurements or VEXT for the onboard USB-powered LDO.
- Use P6 pin 2 and pin 3 as probe points for performing current measurements.
Set up EK to measure VOUT
- Connect the ampere meter between the load and VOUT pin 1 or pin 2 on P9.
- Connect GND pin 3 or pin 4 on P9 to the load ground to ensure proper system grounding.
Note: It is recommended to use standard jumper wires compatible with 2.54
mm (0.1 inch) headers. Make sure the jumper wires are rated for the current.
