The USBHS (USB high speed) peripheral is a USB 2.0 device that supports USB 2.0 and is backward compatible with the USB 1.1 Specification.
The following are main features of USBHS:
- Multiple DMA/non-DMA mode access support for the application
- Supports up to 16 bidirectional endpoints, including control endpoint 0
- Supports the following modes:
- High-speed (HS) 480 Mbps
- Full-speed (FS) 12 Mbps
- Low-speed (LS) 1.5 Mbps
- Configurable device mode
- Includes automatic ping capabilities
- Supports keep-alive in low-speed mode and SOFs in high- and full-speed modes
- Provides on-chip PLL to reduce clock noise and eliminate the need for an external clock generator
- Supports battery charging, enabling a device to draw current in excess of the USB 2.0 specification for charging or powering up from dedicated charging ports or charging downstream ports
- Does not support On-The-Go (OTG)
