Error handling

nRF54LM20A | nRF54LM20B Datasheet

Errors during KMU operations generate the ERROR event. Further information about the cause of the error can be found in the ERRORSTATUS register.

The ERRORSTATUS field indicates the error cause for the last attempted KMU operation, or indicates no error if the KMU operation was succesful. The ERRORSTATUS value is cleared upon initiating a new KMU operation.

Certain types of errors will cause the KMU to enter lockup state. When the KMU is in lockup state, no further operations are possible, and all tasks are ignored. The KMU can only be returned to operational state by performing a device reset. An error causing lockup will generate the ERROR event, and information about the cause of the lockup error can be read in the LOCKUPSTATUS field. This field reads as zero when the KMU is not in lockup state.
