This anomaly applies to nRF9151 DK v1.4.0.
Symptoms
The nRF9151 SiP does not detect the SIM card on the nRF9151 DK.
Conditions
Component D5 is mounted with a 180-degree rotation.
Consequences
The SIM card holder does not function correctly, which results in the nRF9151 SiP not recognizing the SIM card.
Workaround
Contact your distribution vendor to request a replacement kit.
Alternatively, use one of the following workarounds:
- Rotate component D5 so that the white dot on the component aligns with the corresponding white dot on the PCB silkscreen.
- Use an eSIM instead of a physical SIM card. The nRF9151 SiP supports eSIM functionality, and the eSIM can be mounted on the U6 footprint.
- Use a SoftSIM instead of a physical SIM card. The nRF9151 SiP supports SoftSIM functionality.
